I found this out from a friend looked it over, and it seems sense. It even has links to government statistics. Worth the read.

If the article is saying what I think it does;

Well damn, welcome to reality.

It's been scientifically proven that games are not harmfull. Real life violence cannot be related to game violence in any way.

Games have, however, been proven to increase the reflexive abilities of a person.

Good stuff. (Don't have a link to this, though, as I read it in the paper, sorry :))

Good stuff. Analytical, witty, evidential - and above all right.

Glad to see someone out there is using data and research properly. Shame it's not the global media.

If anything instigates violence and overall bad behavior in kids.. I'd say it'd have to be movies... not video games.

I'm suprised no one has gone and jumped on the film industry yet..

Oh, they have, from time to time...Films def have more of an effect than games, but still minimal i reckon.

Incidentally the whole "smoking-in-flims-makes-kids-wanna-smoke-cos-they-think-it-looks-cool" has just been blown out of the water by some solid research, too.

Sure I suppose there have bene some accusations thrown at the film industry.. but why do you think the media and such want to blow up the accusations on video games?

Its funny how the ESRB idiots and Hillary Clinton with her gay violence speech focus on the games more then movies, and the movies is what we are more introduced to. We watch more nudity, killing, and violence in movies more then games. Totally unfocused to me.

around here the youth is violent because of "american influences". Or so we need to believe

why dont they believe its the dual parent working fad that makes sure theres noone at home to raise them kids? And that parents are marked as child abusers when they are actually trying to teach their kids not to play with daddy's car?

It seems the more stupid you are the higher you get to rule

I guess the issue with this is that, unlike films, you are the one pulling the trigger...

It's all ridiculous though.. honestly.. :?
